Job Overview

As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies, identifying software issues, improving product quality, and ensuring smooth delivery of web, mobile, and enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manual and automation testing, API testing, test planning, defect management, and working closely with development and product teams in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.

  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.

  • Identify, document, track, and manage software defects throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business teams to ensure product quality.

  • Review requirements and technical specifications to identify potential quality risks.

  • Perform API testing and validate backend services.

  • Conduct web and mobile application testing across different platforms and devices.

  • Validate UI/UX functionality and ensure a seamless user experience.

  • Perform database testing and data validation.

  • Maintain detailed test documentation and quality reports.

  • Analyze test results and provide recommendations for product improvements.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.

  • Define and improve QA processes, standards, and best practices.

  • Support release management activities and production deployments.

  • Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to team growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 6–8 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance.

  • Strong experience in manual testing methodologies and QA processes.

  • Proven experience testing complex web, mobile, and enterprise applications.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC).

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.
